Using AgileRss you can access rss feeds that are protected with username/password using http authentication method.

All your username/password can be saved locally and used when the protected feed is refreshed. Both username and password are stored encripted in user preference profile, difficult but not impossible for an intruder to read. All your passwords can be managed by using authentication manager interface

In this interface username and feed address are displayed uncrypted in order to be managed, you can clear all selected feed addresses, in this way at the next start of agilerss it will not be able to automatically authenticate for reading articles from the protected addresses. Any authentication made for a feed it is cashed into memory until the application is restarted.
