AgileRss can import feeds specified in OPML format, a standard format used for importing and exporting feeds. The user can select as OPML source either a locally stored file or a web address. By default, the option for validating the feeds' addresses when importing is enabled.

The user can choose to import all feeds identified from the OPML source or only some of them. If the operation could not identify the name of a feed, the user has to specify one if he wants to import that feed as its name is displayed in the tree component of the main window.
