By configuring a feed properties you set up how the feed will
operate when new articles will be discovered. To configure feeds
properties you must open the "Feed Properties" window.
Feed Name
You can specify any name you want to be shown in the feeds and
folders window, can be different than the one provided by feed
author.
Feed Source
This is the URL address of the selected feed, it also can be
modified here, but in this way you will change the source of your
future articles received by this feed.
Parent Folder
Changing this attribute you actualy move selected feed to
another folder, all available folders are listed here by opening
that combo selection
Refresh Interval
Specify how frequently to check selected feed. There are three
options :
Default update Interval - will check the current selected
feed at the default interval specified in general feeds
preferences page available by selecting "Preferences" from
"Main" main menu.
Specify an update interval - let you choose an interval
from the droplist with interval values: 15min, 30min, 1h, 3h,
6h,12h, 24h
Do not update this feed - check this option if you do not
want agileRss to look for new articles for this address
Show The Content Of Articles As Plain
Text
By enabling this option content of articles contained by this
feed will not be rendered as HTML but TEXT
Show New Articles In
Ticker
This option enables feature that when the ticker is visible
all the new articles received by agileRSS will be put at the end of
scrolled articles in ticker. This option is usefull when you want to
see in ticker only articles of few selected feeds.
Automatically Download Enclosures
To
This option let you chose if the enclosures of new articles
will be saved, and if is it to be saved you can specify the location
where to be saved by pressing button "...'
You can also manual refresh feed's atribute provided by feed owner
by chosing tab "Information" in Feed Properties window as follow
Update Feed Name - if this option
is checked when you press "Update Information" button the previously
feed name will be overwriten by the one provided by the feed
author.
After you update feed properties to make them persistent you must
press "Ok" button otherwise "Cancel"
You can open the feed preferences window in several ways:
Select option "Properties" from
"Feeds" main menu after you selected the feed
Select option "Properties" from popup dialog opened by
clicking right mouse button on a selected feed
